Duties

• Help set up and assist in the delivery of activities, events, groups, and projects
  for young people

• Encourage young people to participate in activities, events, groups, and projects delivered by the CDT

• Create and maintain a positive, trusting, and respectful relationship with the young people

• Be patient, compassionate, consistent and non-judgemental

• Good interpersonal skills

​Volunteer Community Shop Assistant

Duties

• Serve customers who access the shop.

• Fill and organise stock.

• Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of the shop.

• Interact with customers.

• Cash handling.

Attributes

• Communication skills

• Be able to maintain confidentiality

• Shop open weekly on Fridays from 9am – 12.30pm

Gardening Volunteer

Duties

• Regularly maintaining garden at the front and/or the back of Eastfield building. For example, watering, planting and weeding (No grass cutting required)

• Enjoys working outdoors

Fundraising Volunteer

Duties

• Researching potential funding opportunities

• Writing funding applications

• Developing and facilitating fundraising events

Attributes

• Self-motivated

• Good interpersonal and organisation skills

• Good numeracy and literacy skills

Falla Hill Land Project Volunteer
The Hub, 10 Main Street and/or Falla Hill site, Fauldhouse, EH47 9HX

Duties

• Landscaping duties. For example, digging, weeding, cutting back, and planting trees and plants

• Creating footpaths

• Helping support wildlife. For example, creating habitats for food, water, shelter

Attributes

• Interested or experience in gardening

• Enjoys working outdoors

• Friendly and positive

• Reliable and consistent

• Happy to work as part of a team

Trishaw ‘Pilot’ Volunteer

The Hub, 10 Main Street, Fauldhouse, EH47 9HX

Duties

• Drive/Pilot the trishaw (similar to a rickshaw with battery support)

• Pick up/drop off passengers, usually members of the community who are elderly, limited mobility or socially isolated.

• Maintain accurate records

Volunteer F&BV CDT Board of Directors (board members)
The Hub, 10 Main Street, Fauldhouse, EH47 9HX

Duties

F&BV CDT Board of Directors

• are responsible for promoting the growth of the CDT

• consult with the local community to generate goals and objectives for the CDT

• oversee the implementation of a business plan devised from community feedback

• provide guidance and support to the employees of the CDT regarding your subject area

We are looking for people who have experience in the following areas

• Business

• Marketing

• Finance

• Communications

• Funding

• Strategic planning

• Environment

• Development of derelict land for community use

Events Volunteer

Duties

• Support F&BV CDT staff during annual events eg Eastfield Easter Family Event, September Fair Day, Christmas Hamper Appeal, etc or one-off events/activities

• Assist in setting up for events such as setting up tables, decorating hall, erecting gazebos outdoors or clearing up after events

• Events tasks might include litter picking, collecting tickets at door, being on a stall such as tombola or information stall, helping in the kitchen, helping staff with activities

• Friendly, enthusiastic and reliable

Volunteer Driver
