Summer Vibes
Tuesdays - Thursdays, 7 July - 30 July 2026

This year we are introducing an ‘activity switch’. P1-P7 kids can be booked in for the days they want. They will do one activity for an hour, another activity for the second hour, followed by lunch and free time. Please see the activities timetable below. Planting Community Orchard

12 young apple trees, four plum trees and four cherry trees were planted to create the Eastfield Community Orchard. We can all enjoy watching these trees grow, produce fruit and encourage wildlife in years to come. In the end over 20 people came to support us. This included F&BV CDT staff members, Rachel (hot drink duty) and Karen plus F&BV CDT volunteers Lucas, Kieran, Cameron, Calum and Scott. Additionally, Andrea from the Answer Day Centre/Fauldhouse Brownies & Guides, Douglas, West Lothian Council Regeneration Officer, five volunteers from HOLCIM UK Ltd, Levenseat Quarry. Five young people and workers from West Lothian CLD Youth Services ELEV8 Diggin It group all came to help out too. Thanks West Lothian Bike Library library for the donation of bike tubes. Much needed advice and support was provided by Hanah from The Woodland Trust and Caroline and Jocelyn from Climate Action West Lothian.
Easter Holiday Club

There was Easter crafts/bonnet making, Easter games - sack race, egg/spoon race, etc and an Easter Party. The club was for P1-P7, and FREE. F&BV CDT's Easter Club was on Tuesday 31 March, Wednesday 1 April and Thursday 2 April. The club is on from 11am-2pm and lunch is included.

EDC Pantomime 'Wizard of Oz'

This is the first time F&BV CDT have asked Hopscotch Theatre Company to provide us with a local pantomime. We held two performances at EDC, both of which were sold out. Both adults and children thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Santa even came along at the end to give the children a wee present. Check out the photos of the panto on our Christmas 2025 page.
Pensioners Christmas Party

F&BV CDT's Annual Pensioners Christmas Party is usually a busy event held at Eastfield Development Centre. We provide an afternoon tea and entertainment with residents from Crofthead Care Home, locals from The Bield Housing and many other older individuals from the community attending.
Remembrance Sunday Service

The annual Fauldhouse Interdenominational Remembrance Sunday Service is organised by Fauldhouse local, Craig Laird and supported by F&BV CDT. The event is always well attended by the local community.
Annual Fair Day

This F&BV CDT family event was free, with only a small charge for tombola and food. This year, we had live music from Fauldhouse musicians. The local Line Dancing group had a wee line dance or two! All the stalls at our event this year were run by local young people - crafts, baking, candyfloss and so on. We had activities with At the Root Arts CIC, Rascals Castles West Lothian inflatables, Zoes Face Painting & Balloons For Any Event, Cariad Beauty hair braiding, a tombola and more.
Spring Event

This was a fun filled family event organised by F&BV CDT. On the day there were games, toddler music sessions, Easter bonnet making, crafts, egg hunt, prizes and more at Eastfield Development Centre.
Volunteers Christmas Lunch

This annual Christmas lunch is a chance for F&BV CDT staff to say a huge thank you to the Trust's volunteers who have helped and supported us throughout the year.
Annual Christmas Appeal

This year we donated Christmas food hampers and toys to families/couples/individuals in Fauldhouse and the Breich Valley who required help at this time. We wanted to make sure that we delivered to those who really needed our support. We are took referrals from family member/neighbour/community partners from a health or social care department.
October Holiday Club

This year we provided a free week of activities for children during the October week school holidays. Activities included Diamond Art with Hana, Creative Arts with At the Root, Little Learners October Fun, Lego, bracelet making, Little Chefs and Halloween crafts.

During the schools holidays F&BV CDT used funding from WLC to hold a fun programme with a little bit of something for everyone. Sessions included taekwando, dance, beauty and football. At the Root Arts CIC did workshops including 'Wicked' and 'Video Games' workshops, plus there was pottery and football and much more. Places for all the activities were full (with a waiting list). The kids had a great time, whatever they were doing!
