Cycling Without Age
This battery assisted Cycling Without Age trishaw (three wheeled bike) seats two passengers and is piloted (driven) by a volunteer who sits behind the passengers so they can speak to them easily. The trishaw has a cosy waterproof blanket and a hood to protect passengers.
The trishaw is piloted by local trained volunteers and it enables those who are isolated, lonely, disabled, elderly or similar to get out into their community, take in some fresh air and meet with others. It's great fun, really makes you smile and best of all... IT'S FREE!!
We've had so many happy passengers!
Pilots, Jim and Cameron, regularly pick up residents of Crofthead Care Home, in Fauldhouse, during late Spring, Summer and early Autumn. They also often take residents of The Bield housing out for a spin too and have regular passengers who have a slot each week. They have taken a wonderful 272 people out for a session on the trishaw this year when the weather has been suitable.
If you fancy it, it's no problem to book a ride. You can be picked up and dropped off from your home or The Hub, 10 Main Street, Fauldhouse and we suggest you take a relative or friend with you as there is room for two!

Please note that the trishaw is very much weather permitting, so some bookings may have to be amended accordingly.
Fauldhouse Trishaw pilots
Our brilliant volunteer Pilots are currently, Jim Hendry and Cameron Macandrew. Both have completed all their Pilot training, passed their checks and are very experienced and confident to take passengers out.

Why don't YOU volunteer to be a volunteer pilot?
F&BV CDT are always looking for volunteer Pilots. You must be over the age of 18. You would be trained to use the trishaw confidently and we will put you through essential PVG checks.
