COMMUNITY GROUPS AND ACTIVITIES

This includes:

  • The Bridge Community Project - Financial advice, mental health and wellbeing support (The Hub and EDC)

  • The Bridge Community Project - Cooking demonstrations and lessons (The Hub and EDC)

  • CAB West Lothian - Weekly support and advice service on Wednesdays. Appointments only (The Hub, weekly support and advice service at the Friday Drop-in (EDC)

  • Coffee and a Blether - Drop in for a coffee (games, books available) and company, mental health support (run by F&BV CDT at The Hub)

  • Community Connections - Connects West Lothian residents to local support and advice (The Hub)

  • Eastfield Friday Drop-in - Operates weekly (run by F&BV CDT at EDC)

  • A quality second hand stall (operated by a F&BV CDT volunteer at EDC)

  • Eastfield Tots 0-3yrs - Weekly baby and toddler group (run by F&BV CDT at EDC)

  • Fauldhouse Art Group - Group take part in a range of arts activities (run by F&BV CDT at The Hub)

  • The Fauldhouse Footers - Walking group meet weekly. The group take part in gentle to moderate walks to suit most abilities (run by F&BV CDT at The Hub)

  • The Makers Group - Group meet weekly to create and craft items they sell to fundraise for F&BV CDT (run by F&BV CDT at The Hub)

  • Men’s Circuit Training - Men’s fitness group who run twice weekly classes (EDC)

  • Sewing with Sandra - Weekly group led by experienced seamstress (run by F&BV CDT at The Hub)

  • Stronger Together Group - Women’s mental health support group who meet every two weeks (The Hub)

  • Take a Break Craft Group - Well established group meet to take part in a range of activities of their choosing (run by F&BV CDT at The Hub)

  • Yoga with Margaret McKinstrie (EDC)

 

It is from our work with these groups (and many others) and our partner organisations that we have been able to identify and implement our wide ranging development programmes. This interaction has also helped to identify potential for new projects and initiatives based on the needs of our communities.
