F&BV CDT's new Mental Health and Wellbeing Development Worker
Welcome to Rachel Nelson, the newest member of staff at F&BV CDT!

Rachel is settling in to the office at The Hub and is in the process of researching what's currently available in the local area, networking and formulating plans for the development of this new project.

Barista training

F&BV CDT have worked in partnership with Burnhouse School/Skills Centre to provide Barista training and work experience to their pupils at our weekly 'Coffee and Chat' morning on the Barista machine in The Hub.

Thanks and well done to the students and teachers of Burnhouse School for their Barista coffee service (with a smile). It has been very well received. Thanks also to everyone from the community who has supported this project and popped into The Hub for a cuppa and a blether on a Thursday morning. One visitor's comment was that the coffee was '...better than Starbucks!'
Barista coffee is currently available at The Hub (during term time) on a Thursday morning from 10am-12pm. Drop-in and support the young people involved!
NEW! Food for Thought
Coming soon! Burnhouse School will be providing a second Barista morning and an additional soup and toastie service at The Hub.
Barista coffee will NOW ALSO be available on Wednesdays from 10am-12pm (during term time) in addition to the usual Thursday morning from 10am-12pm.

On Thursdays from 12pm-2pm, soup and toasties/sandwiches will now be available as part of the school's 'Food for Thought' initiative.

The start date is still to be confirmed, but it will be over the next few weeks. We are certainly looking forward to it!

Please support the Community Shop!

The Eastfield Community Shop is aimed at those who are finding the cost of living tough. As your local charity, you can imagine, it can often be a struggle for F&BV CDT to keep the Community Shop shelves as stocked as we would like.

We are appealing to you to help out the Community Shop by making a one-off or a more regular donation of a tin/tins. It could be a tin of soup, a tin of fruit, a tin of beans or vegetables or a tin of meat.

Everything helps and every donation will be gratefully received.
